The substance
of things hoped for / The Maias

The substance of things hoped for / The Maias is a publication that assembles two short stories by Antonio Farinaci with graphic design and image edition by Membrana.

The publication took shape after the immersion in the narratives, and the image edition was based on a research collection, searching for elements that could dialogue with the imaginary atmosphere evoked by the short stories — one about the concreteness of desire, the other, a reminder of finitude and death.

The publication The substance of things hoped for / The Maias was launched in Miolo(s) Fair, 3rd edition, at Biblioteca Mario de Andrade, São Paulo, Brazil, November 5th, 2016.
